The Loire Valley
Today was another gorgeous day with the highs in the mid to upper seventies. We spent a number of hours on the coach traveling to the Loire Valley and Amboise, our stop for the night. Along the way, we visited Chombord, one of a number of chateau built by Francis I, King of France (1515-1547). The house is very extensive, but many of the rooms are kept quite dim to preserve the fabrics, so I do not have many pictures.
After the chateau, we headed into Amboise for the night.
